We are truly thrilled to be sharing this news with you. As of a week or so ago, this new, exclusive, on-line only offering was introduced by Williams-Sonoma and we're delighted to announce that Amour Spreads is part of the Beehive Whiskey Cheese and Salami Collection!
For those of you from this part of the world (Utah that is), Beehive Cheese is a well-known and well-loved local household name. For those of you who aren't from around here, Beehive is an artisan brand who has taken the cheese world by storm. Their hand-rubbed, award-winning cheeses can be found practically everywhere, in and outside of Utah. Our friendship with Beehive began over three years ago and we've enjoyed great people, food, music, laughter and conversation around the goodness of life and, in particular, delicious food.
We have discovered many of their cheeses pair beautifully with many of our jams, e.g. Barely Buzzed is heavenly with our Pear Lavender Jam, Apple Walnut Smoked with our Savory Heirloom Tomato, Aggiano with our Black Currant Blackberry, their Promonotry with our Strawberry Rhubarb...to name a few. Cheese and jam are fantastic together, some like to go further by adding some local artisan salumi from Creminelli and well, now you have the ABC's of local yum -- Amour Spreads, Beehive Cheese and Creminelli.
What we all have in common is a commitment to real, whole, high-quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible and created with care and passion.
This is a special collection because there is yet another local factor and delicious component to the mix, High West Distillery, a distinctive, small-batch distillery located in Park City.
Who would have thought that Utah, of all places, would be the home of such remarkable food amazingness?

Our good friends at Third Sun Productions shared a couple of their delicious local combinations for us to share with you! They have created two signature cocktails using local ingredients for your enjoyment.

Third Sun Love-the-Locals Beehive Preserve
• 2 ounces Beehive Distilling’s Jack Rabbit Gin
• 1 ounce fresh lemon juice (about juice from half a lemon)
• 1 teaspoon (or to taste) Raspberry Jam by Amour Spreads
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup
Add all ingredients to shaker and stir with spoon.
Add ice and shake. Strain into a chilled glass filled with ice. Enjoy.
Third Sun Love-the-Locals Whiskey Sour
2 ounces High West (or other rye whiskey)
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice (about juice from half a lemon)
1 heaping tablespoon (or to taste) Apricot Ginger Jam or Tangelo Marmalade by Amour Spreads
2 tablespoons egg white (optional, but gives the drink a nice creamy texture with a pretty foam top for your Angostura Bitters)
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Muddle jam with other ingredients. Shake like hell.
(If needed, you may sweeten slightly with simple syrup to taste.)
Strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish with Angostura Bitters.
