Not well known, Tayberry was first grown in Scotland near the river Tay. It is a cross between black raspberries and loganberries (themselves a cross between blackberries and red raspberries). So, imagine a nearly perfect blend of the best blackberry, the best black raspberry, and the best red raspberry all in one fruit, and you get close to perfection -- a luscious, ripe Tayberry. As you might also imagine, it turns into a quintessential berry jam! There are limited quantities available --- this is a lovely and very rare jam.
